PROVERBS 14 - A Sinful Nation
12 There is a way that seems right to man,
But in the end it leads to death.
But in the end it leads to death.
This is scary. We can justify anything; our actions, our purchases, our reactions to others. But this is saying that our way leads to death. We need to seek wisdom and do things God's way.
34 Righteousness exalts a nation
But sin is a disgrace to any people.
35 A king delights in a wise servant,
But a shameful servant incurs his wrath.

Look at the history of the U.S. We were founded on Christian principles, such as "One nation under God" and "all men are created equal". We have become a sinful nation, we slaughter newborns and call it "freedom of choice". We have taken the Bible out of schools; now our children cannot distinguish between right and wrong, between honoring God and sin. They only seek their own way; a way that leads to death.
