Our Prayer

Father God, we believe Your Words are true. You promise us wisdom, if we seek You, and we will be blessed,
if we listen daily. We will. Let us live for God!
This we ask
in Jesus' name. Amen.

PROVERBS 8 - Those Who Seek Me, Will Find Me

Psalm 143:8, 10 states:

8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.

10 Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.

We simply need to ask God to teach us His will.

Proverbs 8:17: "I love those who love me, and those who seek me will find me." Read this verse numerous times today. Let it sink in.
Wisdom calls from all directions - wisdom calls for everyone; wisdom calls for you and I. And it says those who seek me, they will find me. The simple will gain prudence; the foolish (non-believers) will gain understanding. It says that wisdom is better than gold, silver, and rubies. And that those who seek me will find me. Wow! Something so precious, is offered freely to those who seek. So it is something that we should share with our families and friends. No one should be without.

Those who find wisdom will also find riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity. Solomon asked for wisdom; God not only bestowed upon him wisdom but riches and honor. We can ask for wisdom at any age. A young girl prayed for wisdom at age 12. She is in her 30s now; one can see her wisdom.

God does not give us a lot of gifts (skills, money, patience, etc.) in the beginning, but watches over us to see how we use what we have. Do we use our gifts to bring Him honor? Do we use our gifts for ourselves? Do we bring Him dishonor?

Proverbs 1:7 states, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge" .

Proverbs 8:13 defines, "To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech." This is the beginning of knowledge; this is the starting line.

Our choice is accept or reject the Word of God. If we accept the Word of God, the Holy Spirit will open our hearts to wisdom and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We must simply ask the Holy Spirit into our heart. We simply ask Jesus to cleanse us of our sins (acts that separate them from God). To repent and change directions in our lives - by putting our faith and trust in God. God will then help us overcome our addictions thru the power of the Holy Spirit. If we reject Jesus; then our days will lead to despair; our future will be the wrath of God - for we will be judged by that one decision.
