PROVERBS 30 - God’s Word

5 Every Word of God is Flawless

This verse is awesome! The Bible was written by a number of men (35-40 men) over 1500 years. As we study the Bible we understand that the words were put to paper by man - but that God gave them the exact words to write. And these men were obedient; consequently there are no contradictions. The Bible was written for the world because God wants us know about His Creation, the Flood, our sinfulness, His Son, His grace, and the End Times. The Bible reveals the truth so that we may gain understanding (the knowledge of God), and therefore do His will and please to Him. He is our Creator; we are the created. He is our Master; we are His servants.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 states:

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instructions for right living so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed."

Proverbs 30: 2-9 help me to realize how ignorant I am. I have more information at my fingertips through the Internet, but I lack true knowledge and understanding of God. Therefore, I continue to seek wisdom and knowledge of the Holy One. I am also weak and so I pray for neither poverty nor riches. I pray for my daily bread and that I may be generous to those who need bread and share my abundance.
