PROVERBS 20 - Forgiveness

9 "Who can say 'I have kept my heart pure;
I am clean and without sin?'"
11 "Even a child is known by his actions,
by whether his conduct is pure and right."

No one is without sin. Each of us has broken the Ten Commandments. We have lied, stolen, envied our neighbor's car or boat, been angry with another which Jesus said is equivalent to murder, looked at a woman in lust which Jesus said is adultery, not kept the Sabbath Day Holy, and more. Read the Ten Commandments In Exodus 20.

But we can ask for forgiveness. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." Belief is the first step, one must believe that Jesus is our Savior, the Son of God. The second step is to make Jesus - Lord and Master - to let Jesus be in charge of our lives; to let Jesus be the role model for our lives.

When we ask for forgiveness and seek God's will in our daily lives; When we live for God and not ourselves, then our actions, our speech, our character will be a light to others.
